  1. ---------------------------- TEXLOTTO HELP FILE ------------------------------
  2.   Problem: Graph does not display all the test numbers in the bell curve or
  3.            only displays two columns of numbers for Machine three.
  4.   Answer:  Until all ball sets have been ran on Machine three and all fifty
  5.            numbers have been drawn on Machine three, the graph can not display
  6.            them. For example, if the only numbers being displayed are numbers 
  7.            that have come up only once or twice, then the numbers that have 
  8.            come up twice will be displayed in the right column and the numbers 
  9.            that have come up only once displayed in the left column. As more
  10.            data is added and all ball sets have been ran on Machine three and 
  11.            all fifty numbers have been drawn on Machine three, the bell curve
  12.            will fill out.

  14.   Problem: Program stops running and displays error message.
  15.   Answer: If you are having trouble installing Texlotto and are reading this 
  16.          text file using a text editor from outside the Texlotto program then 
  17.          check the following:
  18.    1. Is your computer a IBM machine, IBM Clone or compatible?
  19.    2. Is your DOS version 3.0 or higher?
  20.    3. Do you have at least 512K of RAM?
  21.    4. Do you have a EGA,VGA color graphics card? Monitor can be either color 
  22.       or B/W.
  23.    5. Are you running TSR's, if so, is your "FILES=" setting in your 
  24.       CONFIG.SYS file set high enough to run Texlotto and the TSR's?
  25.       (normally, FILES=20 should be ok).
  26.    6. Did you run INSTALL.BAT (you can type GO to run INSTALL.BAT) to create 
  27.       a Texlotto directory and copy all the Texlotto files to it? 
  28.    7. Make sure that the following files are in the directory that you are  
  29.       attempting to run Texlotto from: 
  30.              
  31.          TEXLOTTO.EXE  Main program.
  32.          TEXLOTTO.DOC  Documentation file.
  33.          TEXLOTTO.HLP  This help file.
  34.          TEXLOGO.BMP   Screen Logo for Texlotto.
  35.          PRETEST.TXT   Text file of past Texas Lottery test results. 
  36.          WINNGNOS.TXT  Text file of past Texas Lottery win results.
  37.          ORDER.FRM     Order form to order registered copy and/or files.
  38.          TEXLOTTO.ICO  ICON for WINDOWS.
  39.          TEXLOTTO.ASP  ASP Ombudsman statement.

  41.    8. You must either move to the directory that contains all the Texlotto 
  42.       files, have it in your AUTOEXEC.BAT's PATH or if using a BATCH (.bat)
  43.       file, have it move to the directory that contains all the Texlotto files
  44.       before running Texlotto.

  46.    9. If you have met all these requirements and still receive the error
  47.       message when attempting to run Texlotto then write down the following
  48.       information:
  49.       1. Your computer's make, model and processor (such as 486/66 AT or XT).

  51.       2. RAM size and number of K bytes available for programs.
  52.          ___________________________________________________________________
  53.       3. Type of graphics card and monitor.
  54.          ___________________________________________________________________
  55.       4. Your DOS version. ____________
  56.       5. FILES=_________BUFFERS=________ in your CONFIG.SYS file. 
  57.       6. Disk drives - Hard drive d:___size______floppies d:'s & sizes______ 
  58.       7. Which drive were you attempting to run Texlotto in?__________________
  59.       8. Did you try running Texlotto from the DOS command line by moving to
  60.          the Texlotto directory and entering Texlotto and pressing enter?
  61.       9. What error codes and addresses if any, were displayed?

  63.      10. Did the program run at all and if so, did the LOGO screen run
  64.          showing the hand holding the money? If so, were you able to change 
  65.          the numbers on the balls by pressing the space bar?

  67.      11. If error occurred while program was running, which of these screens 
  68.          was it running when the error occurred?

  70.          1. SHOW TEXAS LOTTO WINNING NUMBERS ON GRID CHART.
  71.          2. RUN ANALYSIS OF PAST WINNING NUMBERS.
  72.          3. VIEW DOCUMENTATION AND DATA FILES (with print option).
  73.          4. USE GRAPH TO ARRANGE NUMBERS IN BELL CURVE.
  74.          5. USE CHART TO SHOW HOW OFTEN NUMBERS HAVE COME UP.
  75.          6. QUICK PICK.
  76.          7. OVERDUE NUMBERS.
  77.          8. REGISTRATION and/or ORDER DATA UPDATE.
